Program Overview

Using an assertive communication style is critical to demonstrate and gain respect. Unfortunately today, many people choose to email or text a co-worker rather than have a face-to-face conversation when that approach would be most effective.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:

    • Identify four basic styles of communication
    • Manage aggressive behavior
    • Use the DESC model to request a change
    • Listen to both content and emotion.

Time Frame

This program requires a full day or two half-days of training. Each program can be customized to meet specific needs.
